We’ve teamed up with uAvionix to give one lucky reader the chance to win a uAvionix SkyEcho 2 unit in this month’s exclusive competition – enter now to win!

SkyEcho 2 is a portable ADS-B IN/OUT transceiver that meets the UK CAA’s CAP1391 Electronic Conspicuity standard. It transmits your aircraft position, altitude, course and speed to surrounding aircraft to improve awareness.

SkyEcho also includes a dual-band ADS-B receiver to receive position reports from other ADS-B equipped aircraft and display them on in-flight applications, including ForeFlight Mobile, SkyDemon, and EasyVFR.

An integrated battery removes cords and clutter from the cockpit and has enough capacity for up to 12 hours of flight time with the transmit function enabled.

SkyEcho 2 includes native FLARM reception capability. When selected by the user, the secondary radio in SkyEcho 2 can be used as a FLARM receiver. FLARM traffic data is transmitted to SkyDemon for display of FLARM proximity warnings or FLARM traffic display (subject to additional subscription charge).

Terms & conditions

• The promoter of this competition is Seager Publishing Ltd and the prize, one SkyEcho2 unit, is being supplied by uAvionix.
• The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom, except employees of Seager Publishing Ltd and their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
• There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter this competition.
• By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
• The closing date for entry will be 23 Jan 2019. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
• No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
• The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

  2) Answer the question posed.
  3) Email your answer, with ‘SkyEcho2 Competition’ in the subject line, to [email protected] before 23 Jan 2019. Alternatively, you can post your answer to SkyEcho2 competition, Seager Publishing Ltd, Unit 9, Riverside Court, Lower Bristol Road, Bath BA2 3DZ, to arrive no later than 23 Jan 2019.
• The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
• The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
• The prize is as stated above and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable and is subject to availability.
• One winning entry will be picked at random by Seager Publishing Ltd.
• The winner will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
• The promoter will notify the winner when the prize will be delivered.
• The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
• By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
• The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by UK law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK legal system.
• The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
