Bournemouth based Senate Aviation, the company that was awarded the UK, Ireland and Spanish distributorship by New Piper Aircraft last June ,has ordered 26 new aircraft from the Florida based manufacturer for delivery in the first half of 2005.
The order includes the high performance Meridian turbo prop and a variety of Piper’s successful single engine aircraft that will now be equipped with glass cockpit displays.
Senate is the top selling distributor outside of the USA and the company has recently purchased a 1.7 acre site at Bournemouth Airport for construction of a new hangar, offices and parts facility .
In the first 6 months of operation the company sold 10 new and pre-owned aircraft valued over $10M, including a Pilatus PC12 and a Cessna Citation. Their Piper Parts sales service has now achieved turnover enjoyed by their predecessor also based at Bournemouth.
