From now on, if you are buying a New Piper Saratoga or Piper 6X (Either normally aspirated or turbocharged) you’ll have the option of choosing the Avidyne Entegra glass cockpit. The installation consists of two ten inch sunlight readable screens, one a PFD (Primary Flight Display) and the other an MFD (Multi Function Display). The Entegra will come complete with the EMAX engine indicating and fuel management system, normally an add-on, extra cost module.
The company have yet to announce pricing information for the glass option.
While the system is currently certified for US aircraft, New Piper are working on certification for export markets. If you want one now you’ll have to have an N painted on the side, no bad thing!
