Glasgow Airport opens up for light aircraft

Like to get an major international airport in your logbook? Need to visit someone in Glasgow? Good news: you can now fly into Glasgow International Airport with NO handling fees.

Glasgow Flight Centre has been working throughout the pandemic and liaising with the airport operator, AGS Airports, to get better access for General Aviation.

Although handling is compulsory (as it is at most larger airports), light (<2T MTOW), private visiting aircraft and pilots can now use Glasgow Flight Centre as the handling agent – and it’s free. The SEP landing fee is £39.95 and aircraft parking £19.95 a day.

You do have to register with the Flight Centre and PPR online. Full club facilities are provided with parking and fuel available.

Aircraft are welcome during normal operation hours with out of hours available on request. Regular visitors can apply for membership and a security pass offering 24/7 access.

Commercial aircraft are still required to use either of the FBOs at Glasgow – Signature (+44 (0)141 887 8348) or Gama (+44 (0)141 370 1900).
