Europa Aircraft launches new kitplane, the Elite

The UK’s top kitplane manufacturer, Europa, has announced a new aircraft, the Elite which is due for release in 2020.

Europa Aircraft is now owned by Swift Technology Group which has been developing a certified two-seat trainer. The new Elite is very similar to that aircraft.

The Elite is in the Very Light Aircraft (VLA) category and said to be designed to EASA CS-23 regulations.

It is is an all-composite, two seats side-by side aircraft. Europa Aircraft says the Elite “has been designed on the back of a wish list of hundreds of pilots and builders”.

  • Spacious cockpit
  • Expansive luggage bay
  • Easy to build.

Europa Aircraft has three current models, all based on the original Europa designed by Ivan Shaw. They are the Europa XS Trigear, Monowheel and Motor Glider. More than 400 Europas are flying in 33 countries.
