Cirrus won today’s award for the busiest press conference at AOPA Expo when it announced that Delta Connection Academy had ordered no fewer than 50 SR20s. It also announced that the turbo-normalised SR22 would be available in silver, (known as ‘sterling’ in Cirrus-speak). The company is due to deliver its 3,000th aeroplane on 16th November.
Despite much interest, Alan Klapmeier gave away few details on Cirrus’ VLJ, apart from leaking the fact that he’d quite like to be able to land it on grass…
