London Biggin Hill Airport has extended the deadline for its 2018 flying scholarships to 17 November, giving candidates another three weeks to enter.

Two scholarships are on offer, the Biggin Hill Airport Flying Scholarship Award, and the Nick Davidson Memorial Flying Scholarship (NDMFS) scheme.

Sponsors to the NDMFS scheme are supported by Adams Aviation Supply Co., together with Shipping & Airlines, the aircraft maintenance facility and the Bamrah family of Falcon Flying Services.

Gary Merchant, selection panel chairman, said, “We are inviting young people aged between 15 and 25 to aspire to become professional pilots. You must be capable of passing the CAA medical examination for the licence, and all applications should include a CV and a letter setting out why you should be awarded the PPL training.”
