+VIDEO French company Beringer Aero has released a video showing its new SensAIR tyre pressure monitoring system.
SensAIR has pressure and temperature sensors strapped onto the rim of the wheel. They connect to a mobile app on a smartphone and switch on automatically when the smartphone is detected within a 10ft/3m radius, to save battery power.
SensAIR communicates data to the app with a single code per wheel so you’re not picking up the measurements from the wrong aircraft.
Low pressure and temperature levels are set by the user on the smartphone and if these are breached, a notification is sent by the app.
Beringer says SensAIR is available now for 4in, 5in, 6in and 8in wheels.
