US manufacturer Taylorcraft has gone into chapter 11 bankruptcy. This was not unexpected: the company has had well-publicised debts and cashflow problems. Company president Harry Ingram is said to have amassed debts amounting to nearly $1m.
Taylorcraft produces a small range of single engine aircraft, including the Taylorcraft F22 range and the Taylor Sport.
The company began in 1935 when CG Taylor fell out with William Piper and set up his own company.
