CubCrafters newest aircraft, the Sport Cub, has maid its maiden flight. Company boss Jim Richmond was at the controls for the one hour flight from Yakima Air Terminal/McAllister Field Airport on Yakima, Washington
The aircraft is powered by a 100hp Continental 0-200 engine and standard features include the largest door and cabin in its class, full electrical system, and lightweight starter and stow away rear seat for an even larger cargo.
The fuselage features welded cargo tie down points, adjustable pilot seat, aerodynamically balanced rudder and elevator and optional flaps.
An all-digital flat panel vortex generators and toe brakes are also standard equipment.
