WACO Aircraft Corporation has a new owner – Dimor Group located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The acquisition includes Centennial Aircraft Services, an FBO and FAA Part 145 maintenance facility located at WACO Aircraft’s base at Battle Creek, Minnesota. Centennial will continue to provide maintenance, restoration and spare parts for WACO aircraft.

WACO manufactures certified classic biplanes based on a design from the 1920s and 30s. The range starts with the three-seat WACO YMF-5 D, a land aircraft, and YMF-5 F as an amphibious aircraft. The company also produces the Great Lakes 2T-1A-2.

Dimor Group will continue to support WACO Aircraft and further develop the market. In addition to aircraft maintenance, planned projects also include ‘reproducing other landmarks in aviation history’.

The distribution of the product range in Europe will be handled through a Dimor Group branch at Dubendorf Airport near Zurich, Switzerland.
