Two apparently military helicopters have collided at RAF Tern Hill near Market Drayton in Shropshire. Initial reports suggest that one person was killed, three injured.

The type is being reported as a Squirrel. The aircraft were apparently from RAF Shawbury, which is the centre for Basic and Advanced Helicopter training for all three services. The Ministry of Defence confirmed that one of the aircraft was from the Central Flying School and the other from 660 Squadron.
