GA residents told to quit

In a letter sent out last week BAA Southampton has asked the six remaining GA residents based at the Hampshire airfield to leave by April 30th, giving them six weeks’ notice to find a new home.

The letter explains how the growth of scheduled services has meant space problems at EGHI, and that several feasibility studies including a possible re-configuration of the northern ramp have not yielded any cost-effective solutions.

The letter goes on to invite the remaining residents to confirm that they will be able to vacate their parking areas by the April 30 deadline.
