Fly a real airliner. Simulatedly

If you were to believe the rumours, you might think that it was no longer possible to visit and ‘fly’ a full six-axis airline flight simulator. Jumpiness post 9/11 and overcrowding by aircrew needing training and revalidation are the two reasons usually assumed to have cut public access off from these hugely expensive (but, it has to be said, fun) pieces of equipment.

Well, it’s not the case. UK-based Virtual Aviation can still make your dream come true. With bases at Gatwick, Luton and Manchester, Virtual can put you into the cockpit of many different types.

A number of packages are available, pricing from £249 to share an hour with two fellow ‘pilots’ chosen by the company, to a four-hour exclusive flight experience with two guests for £2000.

All ‘flights’ are accompanied by an experienced pilots, who’ll give briefings, etc.
