EASA approval for Garmin GTN updates

Garmin GTN 750 VFR European charts

The Garmin GTN 750/650 series touchscreen navigators have received European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for updates.

They allow pilots to create and fly custom holding patterns, view animated NEXRAD radar images, fly approaches with radius-to-fix (RF) leg types, load a secondary approach while flying a missed approach, and more.

Other features include being able to display Jeppesen VFR Manual charts (formerly known as Bottlang charts) within Europe on the GTN 750 with a subscription (see pic above), and import flight plans from tablets running the Garmin Pilot app via Connext with the Flight Stream 210. The GTN series is EASA qualified for approved model list (AML) installation.
