  • 100% occupation at the Fareham Innovation Centre
  • Confirmation of a second business hub to follow in 2018
  • Road infrastructure at Faraday Business Park and Solent Airport underway with two roads already completed
  • Airport operator awarded a new five-year contract
  • New buildings nearing completion
  • Plans in place for new hangars
  • Increase in visiting aircraft year-on-year.

Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Sean Woodward said, “This is an exciting time for Fareham. Our vision is for Daedalus to become the Solent’s premier centre of excellence for aviation, aerospace, marine engineering and advanced manufacturing.

“Fareham Innovation Centre achieved 100% occupancy within a year of opening and is filled with innovative, exciting businesses and more than a hundred businessmen and women.”

Improvements planned for later this year include facilities for corporate visitors, fuelling on site, improved aircraft parking and a refreshment concession.
