Cirrus tells pilots to be careful

In the wake of three fatal accidents in the last few of weeks (including the Cory Lidle accident, and two crashes in two days last week), Cirrus president Alan Klapmeier has written a letter to Cirrus pilots asking them to “Think about safety!”.

The letter draws attention to on-line resources which Cirrus has made available for pilots of its aircraft, but also to other considerations, such as personal weather minima, winter flying techniques (appropriate, obviously, at this time of the year) and reviewing all your alternatives while flying.

“As Cirrus pilots, we owe ourselves, our passengers, and our families a professional approach to operating our airplanes. More than anything else, this means safety,” Klapmeier says.
