Build A Plane gets new sponsor

Build A Plane, the US non-profit aviation organisation which donates real aircraft to schools has teamed up with the Thomas Wathen Foundation at Flabob Airfield in Riverside California. It is hoped that the new partnership will help develop world class aviation education curricula, motivating students in field such as science, technology, engineering and maths.

The concept draws on something that we all know already – that aviation is a great way to motivate children.

Build A Plane has over 30 projects already delivered to schools across the US, where they are used as teaching tools for various subjects, as well as for aircraft construction and restoration.

There are a number of projects around the world which Build A Plane already backs, including some in the UK. Details on the Build A Plane website.
