Spy Little Nellie at FLYER Live

We’re thrilled to share the news that the British Rotorcraft Association (BRA) will be bringing a very special aircraft to this year’s FLYER Live. Famously designed and flown by the late Wing Commander Ken Wallis, Little Nellie was featured in the 1967 James Bond film You Only Live Twice, in which Wallis flew as the stunt double for Sean Connery.

Steve Paffett from the BRA explained, “Little Nellie is one of the most well known aircraft from any collection. The Wallis Heritage Trust has agreed to move her for us from her relatively new residence at Old Warden, where she spends most of her days in the most illustrious company with the rest of the Shuttleworth Collection.”

As a significant piece of UK aviation history, Little Nellie will be a wonderful ambassador for autogyros at the event, representing both the strong tradition of innovative British design and this exciting side of UK GA, as people visit to find out more about gyrocopters. Don’t miss your chance to visit the British Rotorcraft Association stand and take a close look at this iconic aircraft at FLYER Live 2016!

FLYER Live takes place at the International Centre, Telford on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December. Tickets are on sale now, and more information about the seminars and masterclasses on offer, as well as a full exhibitor list, can be found at www.flyer.co.uk/live/
