Bagby airfield gets new owner

Bagby airfield near Thirsk in North Yorkshire has been purchased by Martin Scott, a PPL and PPL(H) holder – and owner of a BellRanger – who is also partner in Leeds-based law firm Walker Morris.

“Bagby is a superb little airfield which I fully intend to support over the coming years by developing all general aviation interests associated with the site and by improving the facilities currently available to both members and visitors alike,” Martin told FLYER.

“Whilst I suspect there will be a period of consultation with the District Council and the local community who are generally supportive of the airfield, present plans for the airfield include a new club house hotel and the creation of some new hangars to upgrade those currently available on site”.
