Alderney Flying Club Fly-in
- October 2021
Alderney Airport, Saint Anne, Guernsey
Alderney Flying Club is planning to hold its 2021 Fly-In over the weekend of 15-17 October.
This will be the 28th Annual Alderney Fly-In which will start with a welcome reception on Friday 15th, said the club. The programme of events will include guided tours by boat, bus, train and on foot – discovering the island’s fascinating wildlife and the many historic sites – from the Roman era through medieval and Napoleonic times to the Second World War. The highlight of the weekend will be the Gala Dinner and prize awards on Saturday night 16th October.
“We look forward to welcoming aviators from Jersey, the UK and possibly the Continent,” said Alderney Flying Club Chairman Dave Chiswell. “In the past we have had over 100 aeroplanes coming to Alderney to take part in this popular event which brings an important boost to the island’s visitor economy and many of the aviators become regular visitors.”
More details will be published on www.flyalderney.com. The event will of course be subject to the Covid travel regulations and aviators are advised to check Covid travel restrictions on https://covid19.gov.gg/guidance/travel and Notam.
