New Broom for Eurofly microlights

Eurofly UK dealer

There is a new UK dealer for Eurofly microlights. Airplay Aircraft, based at Sutton Meadows in Cambridgeshire and headed by microlight instructor and competitor, David Broom, is taking over from Skydrive.

The Eurofly range, from Italy, includes the Minifox fixed-wing microlight, which was recently exhibited at the SSDR rally at Enstone, where it drew a lot of attention and potential customers.

The Skydrive team will continue to be involved, with Nigel Beale’s Minifox (the first in the country) being available for demonstration flights. Skydrive will focus on its core business of engine supply, and will be providing ongoing sales and support for the Cisco engines used in the Minifox.

“Having had the chance to examine the Minifox aircraft close-up, I was genuinely impressed by the quality of the kit at such a competitive price,” said David Broom.

“Depending on the euro exchange rate, I hope to be able to retail a factory-built ready-to-fly Minifox in the region of £16K, with a complete quick-build kit for approx £14K (both prices plus VAT & delivery).

“I believe this will offer an unprecedented level of value for pilots who want to own their own fixed-wing aircraft. The easy one-person rig and wing-fold option should also keep transport and storage costs to a minimum. Above all, it’s an absolute joy to fly!”

The Eurofly range includes a variety of two-seat microlights and the Snake flexwing, suitable for the recent CAA exemption to allow licence-free flying in the sub-70kg ‘nanolight’ class.
