2017 air show season commemorates Duxford's centenary

IWM Duxford has announced its air show season for 2017, commemorating 100 years since RAF Duxford was built.

Tickets for the Duxford Air Festival and the Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show are now on sale. Our Earlybird discounts offer a significant saving on standard air show tickets and children under 16 go free with a paying adult. Tickets for all air shows must be booked in advance; no on the day tickets are available.

Air Festival
Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 May (May Bank Holiday weekend)
The Duxford Air Festival presents a feast of fabulous flying, including aerobatic displays and feats of aerial ingenuity. Confirmed participating aircraft include the Great War Display Team accompanied by flak, bombing and strafing effects, the Breitling Wingwalkers, the world’s only aerobatic formation wingwalking team, and The Blades, a world-class aerobatic display team.

Flying Legends Air Show 2017
Saturday 8 July and Sunday 9 July
The Flying Legends Air Show is organised and produced by The Fighter Collection, based at IWM Duxford. Flying Legends combines flying displays of remarkable historic aircraft with engaging nostalgic activities to create an authentic 1940s atmosphere. www.flyinglegends.com

Battle of Britain Air Show
Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September
The Duxford Battle of Britain Air Show evokes Duxford’s finest hour defending Great Britain from aerial attack in 1940. Duxford’s principle role as a vital WWII fighter station is demonstrated by exceptional historic aircraft and a poignant massed Spitfire flight.

IWM Duxford is one of Europe’s premier aviation museums, with historic buildings and state-of-the-art exhibition halls, including AirSpace and the American Air Museum. Historic aircraft can regularly be seen flying.
