1947 Aeronca Sedan back into production

The Aeronca Model 15AC Sedan, first made from 1947 to 1951, is to go back into production with a US specialist dealer, Burl’s Aircraft of Chugiak, Alaska.

“The new Sedan will be built similar to the original Aeronca Sedan but with today’s added technology and greater performance than the original,” said Burl Rogers.

“The Sedan has plenty of room for baggage and passengers, and a large wing for STOL operations – all of which give the Sedan a performance factor that makes it a great Bush Plane or getaway machine for a family of four.”

The new Sedan will have a base price of $245,000, and will be certified for VFR flight.

Burl’s Aircraft designs, engineers and manufactures FAA approved parts for light general aviation aircraft up to 12,500 lb.
