06 Conquering the Atlantic Alcock & Brown and the R34, Royal Aeronautical Society, No.4 Hamilton Place, London. This summer sees the 90th anniversaries of two epic flights. The navigation techniques and equipment used on both flights remained little changed until the mid 1930s. The seminar - organised jointly by the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Royal Institute of Navigation - marks these milestones in aviation.
